this seems too easy.......... just getting ready.........
this week we went on a 4WD driving course! wow, with the heart in the mouth we negotiated an incredibly steep slope. La baleine bleue! the new name for the Landcruiser was amazing. We practised on mogul like slopes, learnt to know where the wheels are, learnt to keep the car as level as possible and read the white line, the main watercourse that winds down the slope and to negotiate the best line up the slope mostly keeping the watercourse under the car. La baleine bleue now has cable ties attached to the bull bar - our markers for knowing where the front wheels are.
The course was so good for me to understand the car and how to negotiate rough tracks if we should encounter them We are planing to stay on the gravel but one never knows when one may end up on a difficult track.
